The Malkia Wa Mashahidi parish is already wearing its festive dress, because this Sunday 15th september 2019 will be the great celebration of the parish's fiftieth anniversary 1969-2019.
The Mass will be celebrated by His Excellency Archbishop Marcel Utembi Tapa. During this celebration, the Archbishop will confer the sacrament of Confirmation on about a hundred children and bless the new altare and the newly built Marian grotto.
As part of the preparation for these festivities, on Sunday 08th september 2019 we celebrated two weddings during a mass celebrated by the Vicar General. We are in the atmosphere of the feast being lived in the parish, because everyone wants to see this long-awaited and desired day arrive. Everyone is rushing to buy the parish cloth made for the occasion. Also as part of the preparation, the parish youth commission organizes some activities, namely: Health walks, the football tournament and so on. An orchestra has been set up by P. Anatole which will perform on Sunday 15th september 2019. A children's choir was created as well to perform some songs in front of the Archbishop. But the official release of this children's choir is scheduled for January 2020, on the Epiphany Sunday. We are therefore happy with the grace that this parish is experiencing this year. We pray that this jubilee will begin the serious take-off of this parish in view of its emergence.
