The Provincial Council took the necessary time to carefully discern the journey that the Province is making in relation to the formation of our young people.
1. Admissions to the preparatory grade
The Provincial Council received the annual reports of the vocation promotion activities of the regions of Kisangani; Isiro and Kinshasa. It examined the files of each candidate, the evaluations of the Promoters and the applications of the Aspirants. Admissions are made in accordance with the established criteria. The following were admitted to the preparatory grade:

After a careful discernment of the evaluations of the Formators and after having received the applications for admission to the novitiate from the postulant Brothers of Butembo and from the postulant candidates for priesthood at Comboni House in Kisangani, the Provincial Council admits the following postulants to the novitiate:

2. Neo-professor and Novice situation
In Chad: The Congolese neo-professed who are in Chad are in the communities and are waiting for the end of the lockdown and the opening of the air lines to return to the Province. The Provincial Council envisages for each one of them a brief period of family leave in order to begin the process of returning to their respective scholasticates. Here are their respective destinations:

In Benin: We have 8 novices in Cotonou who are completing the first year of novitiate and are preparing to leave for missionary and community experiences. According to the formators, 7 Congolese novices have made good progress during this first year in the desert. The novice Christian Moke Fidam, however, has been reoriented for another life project.
3. Admissions to Perpetual Vows and Sacred Orders
During the June Consulta, the General Council admitted to perpetual vows and holy orders:
1. Scholastic Blaise Biangbali Abaingu (in missionary service in Congo)
2. Scholastic Faustin Paluku Kamwami (on missionary service in Mozambique)
3. Scholastic Justin Mgbo Fufunga (on missionary service in South Sudan)
4. Scholastic Etienne Sitwaminya Kakule (on missionary service in Ecuador)
5. Macaire Nkumileke Mbo (in missionary service in Benin/ TGB)
6. Scholastic Augustin Mbusa Makasyatsurwa (in missionary service in Togo/TGB)
7. Brother Mwanganza Kitha Mumbere was admitted to Perpetual Vows.
The Provincial Council thanks the General Council for the confidence placed in these confreres by admitting them to Perpetual Profession and Sacred Orders. The Provincial Council congratulates them and their requests to contact the Superiors of the Circumscriptions where they are for the rest of the programme and celebrations. Deep gratitude to the Lord for the missionary vocations he sends us.
4. The celebrations
5. Missionary Service: The scholastics Crispin Mupembu (Lima), Jean-Baptiste Mbusa (Brazil), Seraphin Adobo (Lima) are finishing their formation at the scholasticate. The Provincial Council encourages them to conclude this stage well. The province is waiting for them next December to live the missionary service, as a time to renew their ties with the province and to prepare them for the PVs and SOs in view of the mission.
6. Priestly Ordinations: Deacons Emmanuel Kasika (Diocese of Butembo-Beni) and Pascal Andrupiako Wasta (Diocese of Isiro-Niangara) will be ordained priests this year. The SP has contacted the bishops of their home dioceses to inform them of these celebrations. All dates will be communicated precisely when the Congolese government will officially authorise the resumption of worship and religious celebrations. We are awaiting Deacon Guerlain Biseka.
7. Propaedeutics of Butembo: The Provincial Council has been looking at formation this year in the propaedeutics of Butembo. The principal formator, Fr. Benoît Kaliya, who came to Kinshasa last March for the Provincial Council, has been blocked there until now. Some confreres expressed to the Provincial their perplexity about the formative journey of these young people. After listening to the community of Butembo, Brother Jacques Eluma who is the referent of Fr. Benoit, Fr. Benoit himself, the provincial secretary for formation, the formators of Comboni House, the PC later postponed the admission of the propaedeuts to the postulancy. This admission will take place after the admission test for the philosopher Edith-Stein and the return of Fr. Benedict Kaliya to Butembo. The Provincial will personally visit Butembo to assess the situation more closely.

4. The celebrations
- Bro. Mwangaza Khita Mumbere, after a time of preparation for perpetual vows in Nairobi, will come to Butembo for the celebration of his perpetual vows. The SP has already contacted Mgr. Sikuli Melkisédek, Bishop of Butembo-Beni, to agree with him on the date of profession. Everything will depend on the evolution of the current health crisis.
- Macaire Nkumileke and Augustin Mbusa made their final vows on Friday 19 June 2020 in Cape Coast, Ghana. Our sincere congratulations.
- Father Elio Farronato will celebrate his 50 years of priestly ordination on July 9, 2020. We give thanks to God for the gift of his person and his missionary vocation. Auguri!
- Scholastic Blaise Biangbali will make his perpetual profession on July 12, 2020 in Yanonge.
